November 22 Update: Exciting New Venture

Here in Philippines the ‘Ber months hail the coming of Christmas. October to December you can hear the carols in the mall. Lights and decorations brighten the shops and streets. Children run between the traffic to beg for coins and again we are reminded, not everyone has the basic needs for living. Addictions, drugs and alcohol have left families broken, children neglected and many illiterate.                                      

As we reach out to help the poor, the challenges are great. To love with Gods love is not as easy as it sounds but we are reminded daily that Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Your prayers and support help us to press on to see these children climb out of poverty one by one.

Six children have been added to the JCI Residential program since our last Newsletter The home is buzzing with activity and we are doing our best to help them learn to read. The triplets are 9 years old and they are all now learning a new way of life. No more begging. Food on the table and shoes on their feet. They love to sing together in the evening and  listen carefully to the bible stories before they go to sleep. When you give $25 monthly to the changemaker program you are helping us to feed these children. Thank you. 

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

Last week Natasha said her shoes were broken. But we just bought them a few months ago. After talking to the girls, I realised they were sharing the shoes. Natasha wore them on Monday and Wednesday and Shamica wore them Tuesday and Thursday. Christmas is a time that you can bless a child with their own pair of shoes.. THANK YOU

Thank you to those who responded to the needs of this young family who were desperate a few weeks ago. Jerald lost his job when he was sick with pneumonia and they had no money for food. We were able to give them groceries and medicines. Helped them pay for the electricity to be connected and Jerald came by to say Thank you and to let us know that he is now well and he has a new job. May God bless those who gave so generously to help this little family.
