October 2019 Update: God is Faithful
Hi friends!
Since our last update I trust the Lord has been good to you.
We returned to Philippines in June to celebrate Baby Troys 2nd birthday. He was so happy, he smiled and laughed all day. Little did we know that he would soon go to be with the Lord. 19th July our dear baby breathed his last breath and went to play with the angels above. His suffering had ended and we released him to the arms of Jesus. This baby abandoned 2 years ago was highly favoured, deeply loved and greatly blessed. As the song says, You are not forgotten, God knows your name! And just like God made a way for baby Troy to have a family(He sets the solitary in families Psalm 68.6)
So too the Lord knows your name my friend. Whatever your going through I want you to know there is a God up above who knows your name. So call upon the name of the Lord for the Word says “Before they call I will answer. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” Isaiah 65.24
Just a few days after Baby Troy was buried, we worked together to finish painting the old house to get ready for us to move in. We are so grateful to our generous sponsors who donated the funds for the new windows, paint and furniture. The children were all excited to sleep in their new beds with their new sheets and towels. Our hearts were warm with joy and gratitude to the Lord.
Porfirio De Ocampo, the Father of Joshua, Johnny and Jhamika (who live with us in the JCI House) was released from prison last year and recently passed away. We are standing with the kids in their grief and ask you to keep them in your prayers. Once again we are grateful the Lord has provided a good home for the children “He will be a Father to the fatherless..”
In September, our Aussie JCI team hosted a stall at the Kenneth Copeland Ministries Gold Coast Victory Campaign for 3 days. We sold our limited edition notebooks to raise funds and launched our new Change Maker Campaign raising funds to support the JCI House. It was such a fantastic opportunity for Joshua Care, we met tons of new people, and raised some much needed funds! We would like to give a big thank you to Kate, Kon, Josh & Eden who volunteered their time and effort to make it a great success!
We are blessed to let you know that this year we rejoice with another 5 graduates who have now moved on into full time employment. Climbing out of poverty one by one! Congratulations and a huge THANK YOU to the sponsors who faithfully supported these students all the way…
