Denis Castillano in Sponsored Children
Dennis Castillano was one of our first children to be sponsored. I met him the first time I went to the graveyard… He followed me everywhere always smiling so I asked him if he would like to be sponsored to go to Mt. Moriah…
The next two years we have seen Him grow up to become a remarkable young man… Dennis has grown up to be an aspiring athlete who has won most of the Inter school athletic competitions. He has been very proud to bring home Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to hang on the thin wooden wall of his little home in the graveyard. His grandparents greatly appreciate the help given to Dennis because his father is not known and his mother could not take care of him.
Dennis is always mindful of his sponsors Mr. & Mrs. Mc Managan in Australia yet he was heard to have said to some kids who were teasing him about living in the cemetery, “No I am not a sponsored kid I am a Scholarship kid!! That is why He is determined to win the final Athletics Competitions in February 07, so that he would be eligible for a scholarship to college where he could study further with the hope of getting paid work after college.
Dennis has also been encouraged by his coach to pursue his sporting career which could see him compete internationally!
Well Done Dennis!
