Feeding Programs
JCI Feeding Programs provide much needed nutritional food on a regular basis to children and their families to ensure that they develop physically and support our commitment to ’sound health’ with the children.
In conjunction with our sponsors, local churches and caring public members JCI is establishing regular feeding programs for both JCI Scholarship children and children in the Taguig area generally. JCI feeding programs are often accompanied with medical care, spiritual and social encouragement and practical gifts such as a piece of clothing or a small toy (where possible).
JCI currently provides ‘feedings’ when it is financially capable of doing so. It costs around AU$0.60 – $1.00 to provide a substantial nutritious meal for a child. Typically a ‘feeding’ occurs with 50 – 100 children present which means the cost of a ‘feeding’ ranges from about AU$30 – $100.
Initially we are aiming to raise funds to feed 150 children twice per week. This means we are seeking Feeding Program donation commitments from a range of sponsors to the value of approximately $250 per week.
Additionally we are looking for people in Australia to promote the support of this worthwhile project and people in Philippines to help administer the Feeding Program.
