Sharon Del Valle: Founding Director of Joshua Care International

Sharon is Registered Nurse/Midwife and has been in this profession for 30 years. She was born in South Africa and met her husband, Arturo Del Valle (from the Philippines) in Adelaide 1975. She moved to Brisbane soon after they married and is a mother of three beautiful children. Sharon still lives in Brisbane and attends church at the “Springwood House of Praise”, under the leadership of Pastor Jim and Betty Williams. Amongst numerous other activities she also coordinated the churches children’s ministry for the last 7 years.

The heart of Sharon’s ministry is particularly centered on underprivileged children and their families. She is the founding director and visionary of Joshua Care International, an organization which she has envisioned to commit to helping needs of Filipino children and their communities. Her soul ambition for the sponsors of JCI, is that each child and family would be cared for and educated physically, academically and socially, with the outcome being a strong sense of spirituality, wisdom and good health for each individual. She is committed to ‘making the world a better place’ to all she serves seeking to bring about a positive difference, both now and for the future.

Sharon sees herself as an ordinary servant of God who has a deep felt conviction to share the Hope and the Love of Christ in practical ways with the people of Manilla.

Pastor Bhal Tatlonghari – JCI Philippines – Director

Pastor Bhal is the director of the JCI Philippines team

Pastor Bhal is the director of the JCI Philippines team, married to Beng with one daughter. He also serves as a Pastor at the Mt. Moriah Christian Hope Community Centre and works fulltime for Honda Corporation, Philippines. He is passionate to see positive changes developed in the people of the Taguig community.

Israel Forbes JCI Philippines – Coordinator

Israel is the co-ordinater for JCI Philippines, specifically working with facilitating Sponsorships and directing Finance and Communications. A significant amount of his time is dedicated to JCI activities however he is also committed to full time study and a small personal business. Israel is in his 3rd year of college studies, majoring in Hotel/Restaurant Management. We are extremely grateful for the commitment and support he provides to the JCI team.

Ann Sutcliffe – JCI Australia – Administration

Ann Sutcliffe is the administrational advisor for the JCI team. Much of her experience is in Pastoral Leadership and ministry. Ministering with her husband, Peter Sutcliffe in Churches and on the Mission field over the last 25 years, her Nursing background and Administration experience within Christian Education as well as the international mission field, equip her to contribute to the development of JCI both as an organisation and a ministry. One of Ann’s passions is to see Functional Families restored within society.
